I'm Rachel the owner of OctaHedron Jewelry. When you work with me on a custom piece, you're not just commissioning jewelry - you're collaborating with someone who genuinely cares about bringing your vision to life. I design, I hand-craft, and I work with a network of local San Francisco artisans who care as much as I do about quality and craftsmanship. Together, we'll create something that's uniquely you - within your budget, with your input, and backed by my expertise.

the process is fun & straightforward!

1) SELECT YOUR GEMSTONES

I'm GIA-educated in diamonds and colored stones, and I love the hunt. Whether you're looking for an ethical natural diamond, lab-created stone, Montana sapphire, or something completely unique - I'll source gemstones that fit your vision and budget. Or bring me an heirloom stone you've been holding onto. Let's turn it into something you actually want to wear every day.   

2) SHARE YOUR DESIGN VISION 

We'll have a real conversation about what matters to you. Design inspiration, style, how you want it to feel when you wear it - all of it. I ask a lot of questions because I want to understand what you're envisioning, not just what you're describing.

3) SEE IT IN 3D 

I transform your vision into reality by providing you with 3D renderings of your piece. You can fine-tune and make improvements until it's exactly as you've envisioned. If you want to TRY BEFORE YOU BUY a prototype of your ring you can do that too!

 

 

4) CRAFTING & DELIVERY 

Once you approve the design and make your final payment, we move into production. I work on the piece myself and collaborate with local artisans for specialized steps - stone setting, engraving, finishing. Your ring is handcrafted right here in San Francisco. You'll get photos and updates along the way. And once you have it, that's not the end - I'm here for cleanings, resizing, repairs, and anything else your piece needs over time.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Custom pieces typically take 5–12+ weeks depending on gemstone sourcing (the longest part of the journey). The timeline varies based on your stone, design complexity, and how quickly decisions come together - but I'll keep you updated every step of the way. I believe the process is just as important as the final piece.
